Let's Get Clear...

Has your doctor ever looked at your numbers (like weight, cholesterol or blood pressure) and then told you that you need to 'eat right and exercise'? And then they tell you 'If you don't get these numbers better by the next time I see you, I'm going to have to put you on medicine FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE...' You're left thinking...Eat right? Exercise? Medicine...for the rest of my LIFE? What EXACTLY does that mean? But before you can ask, your doctor already left the room and the nurse is packing you up to help you check out. And you're left feeling confused, stressed and frustrated. You don't want to be on pills from now on, so where do you even start to eat right? Most people already believe they 'eat right'. So HOW is that advice helpful? The truth is, it's NOT. Sadly, millions of people every year have that experience with their doctor. That's how they train us (doctors). Pills, Threats & More Pills

It didn't take long for me to understand that prescribing more and more pills was not the solution to help my patients. And threatening them to do better wasn't helpful at all. (Most of them aren't even doing it themselves!)

Taking Matters Into My Own Hands

I realized the system was NOT going to change. If I truly wanted to help my patients I had to do something different. I wanted them to feel hope and confidence to know exactly what to do to control their conditions naturally. I wanted them to feel SAFE, knowing that I wasn't going to just hand out prescriptions only because I didn't have the time. (That was MY problem, not theirs.) So instead, I MADE the time. And made the health of my patients my #1 priority.
